Take insults like a pro

Of course, there are also situations where you might want to take a more assertive approach. In these cases, try standing up straight, looking them straight in the eye, and saying "You know what? That was really uncalled for. I don't appreciate being talked to like that." Then walk away, preferably with a dramatic hair flip or twirl.
